Purpose and limitations

Articles, databases and tools provide general guidance and cannot cover every technical, operational or legal circumstance. Calculators and decision trees use simplified models. Their outputs are not certification, a declaration of conformity or a binding opinion. Check current primary legislation, harmonised standards and the actual machinery before making a decision.
